
Discover Geraldton is a tourism initiative and land rehabilitation project that consists of a 200 acre landscaped garden, historical archive and interpretive center. While the project is one of a kind in the region, the multifaceted project lacked a powerful visual identity and a unifying brand story to communicate to a range of audiences.

We collaborated with the development team to piece together personal accounts from residents into a brand story connecting the boom days of gold mining to the present. We named the area "The spirit of the north," acknowledging the ghosts of the past and Geraldton's leadership role in the present. The logo references the area's tie to the environment, and the visual system brings unifying color to vintage photography. We designed an animated website and adapted it for kiosks in the center.
